A car for the CEC "Mother of Hope House"

The CEC "Mother House of Hope" of the Pope John XXIII Community now needs your help to raise the €8,000 needed to purchase a car, which is needed by the operators and the boys for all daily activities. Help them too!

Man is not his mistake
The CEC "Mother House of Hope" is a welcoming reality of the Pope John XXIII Community opened since 2018 in Malmissole (FC), at the premises of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel.

Here live young people who, after a cognitive path carried out in prison, have been allowed to serve their sentences in an alternative way, putting themselves at the service of others and the community. They all face a very structured path that aims to re-educate them in love through prayer, work, responsibility and dialogue. The gradual realization of the seriousness of the crime and the evil committed is accompanied by the hope of being able to start a different life again,

They are offered a new chance, because the thought behind CEC, following the words of Don Oreste Benzi, is that "man is not his mistake."

A new car for all daily activities
The operators accompany the young people placed in alternative sentences, both to the medical examinations they need and to job interviews, meetings with social workers and in the local UEPE offices, which are essential to enable their social and labor reintegration.

Operators also take care of travel for meetings with their families of origin, so that they can always stay in touch with their closest loved ones and share and rejoice with them in the new life path they have embarked on.

Currently, the CEC has only a minibus available for their travels, but it turns out to be often used for other activities.

It is therefore very important to be able to have an additional vehicle, such as a utility car, which is more suitable for city travel. In order to be able to purchase it, 8,000€ is needed ; only with your help will it be possible to achieve this goal and enable the operators to continue to do their work of guidance and support to the best of their ability, and allow the welcomed children to carry out all the activities necessary to build, day after day, their rebirth towards a new life . Because even those who have made a mistake deserve a second chance.

You can support this project in two ways:
  • Donate to an already active personal fundraiser: any contribution, even the smallest, will make a difference.
