A special gift for my special friends!

Here we are again: although far away, we continue to walk together.Until some time ago I would never have imagined that disability would have overturned (in a positive way) my way of seeing and living life. But, as we well know, the good Lord has great surprises and great dreams in store for us!The first child welcomed into our family was a child who, with his disability, taught us to see life from a different point of view. Not only that! I share my daily life at a day centre frequented by people with physical and mental disabilities: I have discovered that being close to fragility helps me to grow by focusing on being rather than having and to discover the beauty of sharing.Every day I understand more and more that for me society should not leave behind those who go slower but should take as its own, the pace of those who are more fragile.Supporting the project of the Cooperativa Sociale San Damiano means guaranteeing families who need it the possibility of coming into contact with welcoming people and places suited to the needs of those who are more fragile. For all this I ask all of you a small gesture of love this Christmas: let's give a brick to my friends in Sardinia for their Day Care Centre that wants to become bigger in order to have the right spaces to start training and working paths for the many young people it welcomes.Thank you,Silvio

Here we are again: although far away, we continue to walk together.

Until some time ago I would never have imagined that disability would have overturned (in a positive way) my way of seeing and living life. But, as we well know, the good Lord has great surprises and great dreams in store for us!

The first child welcomed into our family was a child who, with his disability, taught us to see life from a different point of view. Not only that! I share my daily life at a day centre frequented by people with physical and mental disabilities: I have discovered that being close to fragility helps me to grow by focusing on being rather than having and to discover the beauty of sharing.

Every day I understand more and more that for me society should not leave behind those who go slower but should take as its own, the pace of those who are more fragile.

Supporting the project of the Cooperativa Sociale San Damiano means guaranteeing families who need it the possibility of coming into contact with welcoming people and places suited to the needs of those who are more fragile.

For all this I ask all of you a small gesture of love this Christmas: let's give a brick to my friends in Sardinia for their Day Care Centre that wants to become bigger in order to have the right spaces to start training and working paths for the many young people it welcomes.

Thank you,

Total project goal: 50.000 €

The young people with disabilities of the town of Sorso, in Sardinia, have a great desire: the renovation of the spaces of their day center "Il Girasole" and the opening of a second center. The Cooperativa Sociale San Damiano, which manages the center promoted by the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, knows that it is an important dream to realize, but with your help the boys can make it happen. Be a brick in this great enterprise, we need you!
