A bus for a family without borders
The family of Shibu, who suffers from infantile cerebral palsy, currently has a Doblò equipped for transporting the disabled but has only three seats plus a wheelchair. In order for the whole family to move together for daily chores or to experience special moments, they need to buy a larger van. Help them cover the cost of a used minibus, 10,000€ is needed. Now your help is vital because for Shibu to have as normal a life as possible with his family is vital.
It is the year 2000 when Sara, a missionary in bangladesh with the Pope John XXII Community, meets little Shibu: he is 2 years old, weighs only 2kg and suffers from a severe form of Infantile Cerebral Palsy. The child is severely malnourished and is dying. Sara - under the guidance of Don Oreste who personally met Shibu and prayed to save him - cares for him as if he were her own mother. She establishes a special bond with him, and in 2012, in order to allow him the necessary care and a life suited to his disability, she returns to Italy with him and Maruf, who has always been present in Shibu's life, ever since he was a child.
Now Shibu lives with Sara and Attilio, her husband, who have officially adopted him. There are 9 in the family because in addition to Anna, their birth daughter, Maruf with his wife and their two small children live with them, and a teenage boy is on the way. In Sara and Attilio's family they experience sharing with the last, with those fragile people who are often discarded. Here they find happiness and live surrounded by love.
