A bus for Shibu and for all of us

Dear friends, maybe not everyone knows that I came to Italy from Bangladesh ten years ago to be with Shibu. He is not my blood brother but he is in my heart. We met as childrenboth taken in by Sara's family home in the Pope John XXIII Community in Bangladesh.Today I am married and have two children and we still live together, my family and Sara's family, in a parsonage in the province of Reggio Emilia, there are 9 of us united by the desire to walk together despite our differences, especially bound by our love for Shibu! I take care of Shibu and am his caregiver but in reality I do everything I can for him. Since 2020 Shibu has finished school and for him, who is severely disabled with peg, the days flow together with us and we try to involve him in daily life and organize moments together.Today, our dream is to be able to purchase a more capacious vehicle suitable for our large family, which, in addition to Shibu, welcomes people who need help and a safe place to live. To get around, we use a Doblò equipped for transporting the disabled but that is no longer enough for all of us.A short while ago we were offered the opportunity to purchase a used but in good condition 9-seater van equipped with a handicapped platform. A really valuable opportunity for us given the difficulty in getting around. In fact, a simple shopping trip to the supermarket or moving all together on the weekend always requires two cars. The figure to cover the cost of the minibus is around 10,000 € and to be able to reach it we need your help. Please also help us realize this wish of ours.Thank you sincerely for anything you can donate!

Dear friends,

maybe not everyone knows that I came to Italy from Bangladesh ten years ago to be with Shibu. He is not my blood brother but he is in my heart. We met as childrenboth taken in by Sara's family home in the Pope John XXIII Community in Bangladesh.

Today I am married and have two children and we still live together, my family and Sara's family, in a parsonage in the province of Reggio Emilia, there are 9 of us united by the desire to walk together despite our differences, especially bound by our love for Shibu! I take care of Shibu and am his caregiver but in reality I do everything I can for him. Since 2020 Shibu has finished school and for him, who is severely disabled with peg, the days flow together with us and we try to involve him in daily life and organize moments together.

Today, our dream is to be able to purchase a more capacious vehicle suitable for our large family, which, in addition to Shibu, welcomes people who need help and a safe place to live. To get around, we use a Doblò equipped for transporting the disabled but that is no longer enough for all of us.

A short while ago we were offered the opportunity to purchase a used but in good condition 9-seater van equipped with a handicapped platform. A really valuable opportunity for us given the difficulty in getting around. In fact, a simple shopping trip to the supermarket or moving all together on the weekend always requires two cars.

The figure to cover the cost of the minibus is around 10,000 € and to be able to reach it we need your help. Please also help us realize this wish of ours.

The fundraiser supports the project: A bus for a family without borders
Total project goal: 10.000 €

The family of Shibu, who suffers from infantile cerebral palsy, currently has a Doblò equipped for transporting the disabled but has only three seats plus a wheelchair. In order for the whole family to move together for daily chores or to experience special moments, they need to buy a larger van. Help them cover the cost of a used minibus, 10,000€ is needed. Now your help is vital because for Shibu to have as normal a life as possible with his family is vital.
