Operation Dove in Lebanon - 2025
Operation Dove volunteers share life and work alongside Syrian refugees still living in camps across the country. Supporting, helping and protecting them means still believing in the strength of relationships and the peace that comes from staying close and dreaming together.
Operation Dove has been alongside Syrian refugees in northern Lebanon since 2013.
The situation in Syria, where a war pitting different pro- and anti-government forces has been fought since 2011, took a momentous turn at the end of 2024 with the fall of Bashar Al Assad's regime.
Operation Dove's presence currently continues between the Akkar refugee camps (starting in Tel Abbas) and theShining in Peace Association school.
From here, volunteers and female volunteers monitor the situation of families experiencing the uncertainty of returning to Syria where, in many cases, they no longer even have a place identifiable as home; while in Lebanon, the situation is increasingly difficult and unstable, due in part to the recent resurgence of the conflict with Israel.
The presence of the volunteers and volunteers is very important: they visit and accompany the most fragile Syrian families, to give them support and support; they create moments of encounter to ease tensions and foster dialogue between the different communities; they organize moments of entertainment and animation for children; they collect useful testimonies to monitor and denounce violations of Human Rights; and they participate in the reception of Syrian families in Italy and Europe through Humanitarian Corridors.
Support the men and women volunteers in Lebanon to stand by the Syrian refugees and build Peace together with them.
