Ukraine Emergency - Let's build peace

It's war in Ukraine and the Papa Giovanni Community has decided to stand by the side of the thousands of women, elderly and children threatened and put to flight by the bombs. We are on the front lines bringing help and welcoming those fleeing the war, we urgently need you. Let's build peace in Ukraine, together.

We are onthe front lines in a country torn apart by bombs, by the blood of the innocent, by the brutality of a conflict that has shattered the lives of people like us, who have been overwhelmed by the rubble. We stand by the side of these desperate families, forced to leave their homes in search of safety. Thousands of women, elderly and children who are afraid and trying to escape the violence.

We could not stay safe, in our own homes, when our vocation is to be next to the last ones. Our presence now is to monitor the situation and understand the responses to be made to this humanitarian crisis, facilitating the arrival of aid and protecting the most fragile and vulnerable people.

We have already begun to welcome the first refugees into our homes here in Italy, the numbers are growing, and we are making contacts to open additional humanitarian corridors to countries on the border with Ukraine.
This is no different from any other war ... war is war, and as has often happened to us in the past, we want to be on opposite sides in the effort to build peace.

To continue to help, we urgently need you.
Each of us can do something concrete: create your own personal fundraiser and share it with your friends. Let us build, together, a network of help, of love, of peace for Ukraine. Thank you!
