Emergency Boundaries
The volunteers of Operazione Colomba, the Nonviolent Peace Corps of the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, monitor the emergency situations that occur, in an increasingly frequent and dramatic way, along the borders of Europe. Let us support them so that they can continue to bring humanity and hope.
Along the borders of Europe, the tragedy of thousands of refugees fleeing emergencies, persecution and war and a total lack of future is unfolding.
They knock on our door demanding dignity and Rights, but Europe has chosen to close itself off, willing to violate European laws on the Right of Asylum and humanitarian assistance, the army has been deployed and refugees pushed back.
Thousands of people, for example, are stuck along the Belarus-Polish border right now, forced to survive in the forest in zero degrees, braving snow and rain and, often, facing death.
To prevent all this, Operation Dove volunteers are present along the borders of countries affected by migrant routes with monitoring actions.
Volunteers bring help and support to these lonely and abandoned people, but above all they bring their voice and determination, to denounce this situation. Only through sharing, solidarity and humanity is it possible to change things.
