A new challenge for our Family Home

Gianna and I have been a Family House of the Pope John XXIII Community for more than 30 years. In so many years we have been parents, grandparents, and friends to all the people we have welcomed living together as a real family, amid trust and affection. Now there are 8 of us in the house. Despite the passing years and the fatigue that is beginning to set in, we continue to say our YES loudly for anyone in need. It takes a lot of patience, caring and willingness but it is what we have chosen and for us there is no life if there is no sharing. Here in Italy as well as abroad, because on every trip I have made to wounded and needy mission lands, I have realized that opening our hearts and the doors of our homes is what makes us happy. Today we want to ask for your help for a project that is close to our hearts: we want to renovate the rooms on the ground floor of our house to turn them into 2 small apartments that will be able to accommodate family units or people in need who do not have a place to stay, so that we can be close to them. These new spaces will also allow us to have suitable places dedicated to personal meetings, including with social workers and institutions in the area, with which we collaborate, while respecting everyone's privacy. The expense for the work amounts to €15,000, an amount that the Pope John XXIII Community, which has to provide for the many needs of more than 500 shelters, cannot sustain alone, especially at this time when requests for help are increasing and expenses are rising. For this Gianna and I need you, all of you! Donate to our fundraiser and multiply your help by opening your own personal fundraiser to share with your friends, just like we did. Alone we cannot do it, but together we can reach the goal. Come on, are you in?
