A Christmas Carol - MissioNovara with Mykolaiv

"I have always thought of Christmas ... as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time dedicated to forgiveness. The only time I know, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem to freely open their usually closed hearts and think of the people beneath them as if they were really fellow travelers and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." C. Dickens We, the friends of MissioNovara , would like to be inspired by the Christmas Carol that Dickens wrote back in 1843 to be close to our fellow Ukrainian travelers in the city of Mykolaiv. In this Christmas time when we feel the warmth of the holiday season and of being with our families, we feel the desire to be close to those who are not as fortunate as we are this year. That's why we embrace #stopthewarnow's project to support fundraising for the construction of a new desalinator and re-bring that drinking water that was there before the war and the bombs. "Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we are here for something other than ourselves." The fundraiser supports the project: Drinking water emergency in Ukraine
Total project goal: 25.000 €

The poorest and most fragile people are left in the bombed city of Mykolaiv. Repeated missile attacks have destroyed the water systems and the city no longer has potable water. STOPTHEWARNOW wants to answer the call for help from these people it has met and gotten to know by building 10 desalination plants that will help make water accessible and potable again. Help us and support this project too.
