One year after the outbreak of a war that has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people, millions of displaced people and the destruction of much essential infrastructure, we call for an immediate cease-fire that gives space for international diplomacy to overcome the conflict and address thehumanitarian emergency.

A year ago, we showed that we are a supportive and welcoming community by immediately running to the aid of those fleeing the war: opening our homes and making ourselves available to concretely help those arriving in our territory to be reunited with their families.

As a community of Lake Bracciano, we want to continue to sow peace through actions in support of those few, but fundamental solidarity and nonviolent interventions of concrete help to the Ukrainian population.

We have chosen to support a solidarity project of the StopTheWarNow network, through a fundraiser, open to all and everyone, that will help the population of Mykolayiv, a city of about 300,000 thousand inhabitants that due to continuous bombardment has been without drinking water for months , helping to purchase a watermaker.

With everyone's contribution, no matter how big or small, we can ensure free, continuous, dignified and safe drinking water for children, women and the elderly.

Each of us must and can do our part to stop the war through nonviolent actions and concrete solidarity.

It is not enough to wish for peace we must continue together to sow peace.
