My husband Luca and I want to tell you about ourselves, in our somewhat humorous style, starting with a joke. Why do we ask you to put your warmth into it? Because the house in which we live and which we open to anyone who needs care and love, needs some renovations precisely referring to the "heat" to produce in winter and to shelter from in summer.

Our boiler, in fact, is failing us and we need to replace it. Moreover, after several years of living in the magnificent hills of Cinto Euganeo (PD), we need to protect ourselves from mosquitoes and various insects. The only salvation: mosquito nets! This, which we express to you with a smile, is acare for the little ones to whom we give welcome and love. Like Francis - many of you know him as Fatty because he starred in the movie "Just Nice Things" - who with his major dysarthria, before he kills the mosquito has already suffered 5 goals (i.e., insect bites, expressed in football metaphor, given his great passion for the sport), causing him much discomfort and severe irritation.

In our 14 years as moms and dads of the Pope John XXIII Community family home, we have taken in troubled adolescents, adults with cognitive and mental limitations, and women left alone. Each of them, along with our natural children, is the beating heart of our family and a gift for which we are deeply grateful.

Today we want to extend our gratitude to you because we are sure you will go out of your way to help us. All of this work, in fact, requires an expenditure of
