Hi everyone, I'm Paola, a volunteer of Operation Dove.

In these months I have been telling you, through cartoons, about my experience in Lebanon with Operazione Colomba.

They have been three full months, characterized by many beautiful moments of real life, where the simplicity and the harshness of reality allow to forge deep and meaningful bonds. However, they were also three months in which I saw a lot of suffering, degradation, pain and injustice. What I want to say loud and clear is that living in a refugee camp sucks and no one should live there, no one. Yet, so many people live in these conditions. Operazione Colomba's volunteers are at the side with these people, last among the last, sharing with them everyday life.

"There is no peace that is not my peace" sings Fiorella Mannoia in "Luce", and that's exactly what it is. In the last vignette it says that the commitment to peace never stops and continues, all together. So I ask you to help me to support the volunteers in Lebanon, to ensure that the presence can remain open so that the commitment to peace never stops.
