God puts the heart in, we find the wheels!

Valentino and Roberta are the father and mother of the Family House Our Lady of Peace, a shelter of the Pope John XXIII Community, which since 2001 has been giving love to children and people often suffering from severe disabilities. Now they need all thehelp they can get to raise the €20,000 needed to buy a car that will allow them to transport a wheelchair and allow older people to get in and out without the use of lifts. Why did I choose to help them? Because for eight months they were my family.I accompanied the children to their activities, visits, daily commitments. I shared a daily routine of running, laughter, hard work and lots of love. In that home I received much more than I gave.If you have occasionally wondered what happened to me, the answer is simple: I lost myself to find myself. Today I live, at the top of my lungs, together with these brothers. With them I have discovered that joy is not having more, but giving more. I have learned that a home is not made of walls, but of people who choose each other every day. That is why today I ask for your help. This family needs a car to accompany the boys in the thousands of activities that fill their days and lives. A vehicle for many is just a car; for them it means freedom, autonomy, possibility.By helping them, you are not simply helping a family home but a home that has also become mine.THANK YOU
