Building a piece of the future... together

Dearly beloved, I joined this project carried away by the enthusiasm of the president of the San Damiano Cooperative, Antonello, and his collaborators; convinced by the great welcome I saw the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII provide during my years of social work in the area, involved by the deep sense of welcome that accompanied the brief period of collaboration with San Damiano, the Day Centre, the guests, the families.As an operator I have also noticed, in these years, the need for qualified spaces of reception of fragility, even more so in a moment like this in which we all notice the fragility of our individual and social balances.Well, the men and women of the Day Centre and of the Papa Giovanni XXIII have shown with their actions, even before words, that they know how to make their daily commitment concrete by offering support to those who need it most.The project that I am proposing to finance is aimed at the guests of the Day Centre "Il Girasole", it offers a perspective, a future through the construction of workshops aimed at work and social inclusion. For this reason I invite you to join, to participate as you want/can, knowing that you are really putting your resources to good use, I am sure of it and this certainty allows me to propose it with enthusiasm.Thank you very much,Manuela

The young people with disabilities of the town of Sorso, in Sardinia, have a great desire: the renovation of the spaces of their day center "Il Girasole" and the opening of a second center. The Cooperativa Sociale San Damiano, which manages the center promoted by the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, knows that it is an important dream to realize, but with your help the boys can make it happen. Be a brick in this great enterprise, we need you!
