A school for my daughter
S. is 14 years old and has lived in a Pope John XXIII Community Home since she was a child because of her cognitive disability. She is due to start high school in September, like all her peers, but she, because of her needs and frailty, needs a school appropriate to her needs and educators to look after her. For the school and all the educational support she will need, the costs are very high. Help us raise the necessary funds to enable her to go to school.

Even if she has now reached a stable clinical situation, she still needs a lot of support and I left my job to follow her.
Now I have a very delicate choice to make: which high school to choose for her needs and fragility. Unfortunately S. cannot attend any High School...
Her condition makes it very difficult for her to relate to others but like any other girl of her age she wants to have friends and she has the right to have them. It is important to find an environment that will protect her and stimulate her properly. In addition, she needs to follow a differentiated program, a Support Teacher and the presence of a Professional Educator to follow her, because she can not follow the lessons independently.
The costs for the tuition, the registration, the Professional Educator (partly guaranteed by the State) and the Support Teacher are very high: about 11.650€ per year are needed, a sum that I will have to find for all the 5 school years.
Even if I know what is best for her, I cannot do it alone. I can only ask for your help and it is from this need that the fundraiser was born, with the hope that many of you can help me by opening an online fundraiser and asking your friends to support it. Thanks to you, I want to be able to raise the necessary funds to cover at least the first school year ... I want to allow her to have what is best for her and what all her peers have.
