A minibus for the CEC "Mother House of Hope".

The number of inmates serving alternative sentences is increasing. This is why we need a minibus to enable us to carry out all our activities in the area.

The CEC "Mother House of Hope" is a welcoming reality of the Pope John XXIII Community opened a year ago in Malmissole (FC), on the premises of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel. It is home to inmates who - after a cognitive path taken in prison - have been allowed to serve their sentences in an alternative way, putting themselves at the service of others and the community. They all face a very structured path that aims to re-educate them in love through prayer, work, responsibility and dialogue. They are offered a new chance in life because the thought behind CEC is one, that man is not his own mistake. We currently host 6 boys and one volunteer, who lives in the house permanently. The days are very full: after times of prayer there are various helping local associations or taking care of the green areas of the parishes where Fr. Nino is the pastor. We also take care of a small garden that always provides us with fresh vegetables! Unfortunately, we have a hard time moving all together because the requests for shelter are increasing and now one car is no longer enough. That is why we have launched this fundraiser: to buy a minibus that will accommodate us all and also allow us to take a small vacation to also experience this dimension of being together and sharing. We have already received the support of the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì with a contribution of 12 thousand euros, but the goal is still far away. Can you lend us a hand? In you I have found more than help, a family. I have come to know my good parts and become aware of the bad ones. I start again with a new awareness and with the certainty that I am no longer alone, ever. (CEC Malmissole boy).
