A minibus for the CEC "Mother House of Hope".

The number of inmates serving alternative sentences is increasing. This is why we need a minibus to enable us to carry out all our activities in the area.

The CEC "Casa Madre della Speranza" (Mother House of Hope) is a welcoming reality of the Pope John XXIII Community opened a year ago in Malmissole (FC), in the premises of the parish of San Michele Arcangelo. Here live inmates who - after a cognitive process carried out in prison - have been allowed to serve their sentence in an alternative way, putting themselves at the service of others and the community. They all face a very structured path that aims to re-educate to love through prayer, work, responsibility and dialogue. They are offered a new chance in life because the thought at the base of CEC is only one, that man is not his own mistake. Currently we host 6 boys and a volunteer, who lives in the house permanently. The days are very full: after the moments of prayer we carry out various helping the associative realities of the place or taking care of the green areas of the parishes where don Nino is the parish priest. We also take care of a small vegetable garden that always provides us with fresh vegetables! Unfortunately, we find it very difficult to move all together because the number of requests for accommodation is increasing and one car is no longer enough. That's why we have launched this fundraiser: to buy a minibus that will welcome us all and that will also allow us to take a small holiday to experience this dimension of being together and sharing. We have already received the support of the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì with a contribution of 12 thousand euros but the goal is still far away. Can you give us a hand? In you I have found more than help, I have found a family. I got to know my good parts and became aware of the bad ones. I start again with a new awareness and with the certainty of never being alone again. (Boy CEC Malmissole).
