A minibus for the Family Home "Nazareth".

The "Nazareth" Family Home of the Pope John XXIII Community needs a new bus to enable all the people in its care to carry out their normal daily activities. The needs of 9 children, both natural and welcomed, are many and the bus they are using has become old and worn out. After 10 years of "living it to the fullest" it is time to retire it and buy one that will guarantee safety in all movements.

We are Fabio and Monica, father and mother of the Family House "Nazareth" of the Pope John XXIII Community and we live in Masiera di Bagnacavallo (RA).
Our desire to be a family for those who don't have one was born a long time ago, after a volunteer experience in a Therapeutic Community, a place that helps young people with addictions to get rid of them and start again. Breathing their fragility we understood that we too wanted to open our doors to anyone who was alone and lost.
This ishow we came to be 11 in the family: in addition to us and our 6 children - Francesco, Alina, Samuele, Letizia, Cecilia and Chiara - there are now 3 young people from difficult situations and with difficult family histories behind them. Here in the family home, loved and supported, they are finding a new balance and new points of reference.
As you can imagine, our life is really busy!
With so many children who are still minors (and not autonomous) there are so many moves to make every day. As in every family that lives in the province, we have to take the kids to school, in three different towns, and then in the afternoon each of us has to do his sport. This means that we have to travel many kilometres every day. In addition, there are the specific needs of the children we take in, given their particular problems: speech therapy and psychological sessions, training meetings, appointments and medical examinations, often far from home.
You will understand that for our life and for the needs of our children having a safe means of transport suitable for everyone is essential, and that is why we ask for your help to support this project.
Our bus has withstood this frenetic pace for 10 years, it has accompanied us every day, but now it is worn and is in danger of no longer being safe. To buy a new one we need about 24,000 euros, a sum that the Pope John XXIII Community cannot afford lightly, given that there are over 500 families and homes like ours that experience the same needs as we do.
This is why we have chosen to commit ourselves and try every possible way to help the Community. In the coming weeks we will do everything we can to raise the amount needed to buy the bus and we hope that you will be many to help us.
You can do it with a donation or, even better, by opening your own personal fundraiser, involving your friends and acquaintances to contribute to a part of the amount, the one you want.
We trust with all our hearts in your generosity. We really need a large and safe vehicle for all of us to be able to move daily and travel all together.
