A minibus for the "Condominio Solidale" of Fossano

In these days of health emergency, the "Condominio Solidale" of Fossano, which also houses the "San Paolo" Family Home of the Pope John XXIII Community, needs a new minibus equipped for the disabled in order to be even closer to fragile people and to allow guests with reduced mobility to move around safely.

Almost a year ago, the Opera Diocesana of Fossano completed the renovation and made the "Divina Provvidenza" building available for the reception of the "San Paolo" Family Home of the Pope John XXIII Community and to allow the birth of a Solidarity Condominium composed of 10 lodgings.
In order to support the purchase of the kitchen and the fitting out of the gymnasium for sports activities and physiotherapy, as the Family House of the Pope John XXIII Community, we have launched a fundraising campaign on this platform. Thanks to the help of many people, we have reached our goal and managed to buy everything we needed.
Today, in addition to our "San Paolo" Family Home, there are about 40 people living in the "Divina Provvidenza" Solidarity Building: elderly parents with disabled children who find themselves in a context where they receive help from everyone to manage their daily lives, a young married couple with a newborn child who is taking her first steps in married life, adults with serious disabilities who are trying out a path of independent living, young people who choose to live here to share their lives with the last ones... and many other life experiences.

And during this year how much "life" has passed and how many people have allowed us to enter their lives to need, to talk, to grow, thanks to the young people we help, to confront, thanks to the scout groups that come to visit us.
The condominium life allows us to live the family atmosphere in a different but equally precious way and so it enriches our spirit.
Werealize that the sharing of life is really a gift, even more so in these days so upset by the current health emergency: we help each other and we are even closer to fragile people to protect them and not let them leave home, assisting them in their daily needs.
However, there are 40 of us, and this also means that we have to keep moving around because of everyone's commitments and needs. The bus we have is now very old and unsafe, and the cars are not suitable for transporting people with severe motor disabilities who live here and need to reach hospitals for visits.
The "Condominio Solidale" needs a bus equipped to transport disabled people and as we have already done in recent months, we want to do everything to raise the amount needed to buy it and we want to do it again through this way, asking you to support us in this project by creating fundraisers to contribute.
We are dreamers, but we know that with your help we can turn the dream into reality.
The cost is € 39,000, we have already received a contribution of € 5,000 from the Diocese of Fossano, € 20,000 from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano, a deliberate contribution of € 2,500 from Bene Banca and € 4,000 from another donor ... but it is not enough.
For the purchase of the minibus we are missing 10.000€ and to reach them we rely on you, who already once chose to support our family. If we can reach 15.000€ we can do even more and add a further aid for the disabled.
Never as in these weeks we realize how important it is to live thinking of the good of others, of those more fragile. We still need you! Thank you.

Maurizio and Giovanna, father and mother of the Family House "San Paolo".
