The people who arrive here in Fasano (BR), at the Pope John XXIII Community's "Mother Teresa of Calcutta" ready-made home, are young people and adults who for a variety of reasons find themselves alone, at the mercy of a life that over time has become too difficult and in front of which they have not always felt ready or equal to.
These are people who very often feel invisible in a society that asks so much of you and, above all, does not forget if you have made a mistake.
Marco, Fabio, Stefano, Alessio, Vito and Ciro are some of the people who make up this large family. The stay-at-home dad is Antonio, big heart and fast legs to run through the hectic days, because every day is a new challenge and new people knock on the door for support and support.
The alarm clock rings in every room every morning, and everyone gathers for breakfast. After a time of prayer, we start with the different activities between those who stay at home to tidy up and those who go out to deliver resumes, go to work or run errands. Twice a week, the living room becomes a small workshop for making rosaries that are given to guests and friends of the house. Theirs, all in all, is the commonly extraordinary life of any family!
And like any family, especially such a large one, there is a need for a proper vehicle to get around, and theirs is now very old and beyond repair. A minibus in good condition is essential for the full functioning of the house and for all activities: grocery shopping, accompanying the children to visits and meetings in complete safety, going to those people who are signaled by the territory and getting together as a family and going outings all together.
The Pope John XXIII Community has already found a used bus perfect for their needs and the cost is 10,000€. At a time like this, everyone's help is needed to purchase it. The Community, which has to take care of the many needs of the many realities in Italy and around the world every day, is now unable to cope with this unexpected expense, but it cannot be put off.
That is why Antonio and his home need you! Create your own fundraiser, share it with your friends, relatives, colleagues or support those who have already opened it with a donation and allow the many kids in the house to have a safe means to live their daily lives and rediscover the beauty of a life that has given them another chance. Come on, are you in?
