One new tool, a thousand new possibilities
Gigi and Letizia are the parents of Il Cireneo Family Home, a residential care facility run by the Pope John XXIII Community, located in Massarosa, in the province of Lucca. For over thirty years, they have been providing care for people with physical and mental disabilities. Now they need your help to raise the €42,000 needed to purchase a minibus that will allow the young people in their care to face each day without letting any obstacle become a limitation.

For over thirty years, Gigi and Letizia have chosen to open the doors of their home and their hearts to people who, in addition to facing social hardship, also live with physical and mental disabilities. Those who are welcomed there feel like they are part of a real family. The love and care they receive ensure that everyone feels they have immense value and can build their own future.
Luca, a young man with a severe disability who arrived at this home at just five months old, shortly after being discharged from the hospital, shares his story. In the arms of Gigi and Letizia, he found a mom and dad ready to love him unconditionally. “Here I’ve found affection, security, and the chance to build my future, proving that love can overcome any obstacle.”
Every day, the young people in our care go to school, to the hospital for checkups and physical therapy, participate in various educational activities, meet with friends, and enjoy the events the local area has to offer.
Unfortunately, the minibus currently in use is no longer suitable for transporting the family safely, and now they need a new, specially equipped vehicle, valued at approximately 42,000, for Luca and his siblings. The new minibus is not just a vehicle; it is the opportunity to continue living their daily lives. It is the freedom to go to school, to receive the care they need, to participate in community life, and to face each day without letting an obstacle become a limitation.
