A Christmas gift that goes all the way to Brazil
We are Yara and Valentina, volunteers with the Community of Pope John XXIII in Brazil.
Through this extraordinary experience we have the privilege of working with children and adolescents who face difficult challenges every day, often threatened by the dangerous vortex of drug trafficking and child exploitation. The Community Centers that house these children are a refuge of hope because they offer educational support, vocational training and moments of joy through play and recreational activities.
We launched this fundraiser because we want to share with you a small wish that has great meaning for the hearts of the children in our care. Our beloved table football s, which have been a source of fun, learning and friendship for them, were very old and unfortunately broke. For many of these children, foosball represents more than just a game: it is a symbol of teamwork, unity and a bit of normalcy in an often difficult world.
With your help, we would like to realize the dream of replacing the old foosball tables with two new ones. This is not just a material gesture, but an investment in the future of these boys. The remainder of the donations collected will be used to buy other useful materials for the center such as colors, notebooks, stationery and educational educational toys. Through play, children learn, work together and create meaningful bonds that will help them overcome the challenges that life throws at them.
