The heart of the home: a new kitchen for the Bruno and Caterina Family Home

Bruno and Caterina are the father and mother of the Casa Famiglia Sacra Famiglia of Nazareth, a welcoming reality of the Pope John XXIII Community, which for more than 20 years has been giving love welcoming boys in difficulty, often with disabilities. Now they need your help to raise the €25,000 needed to renovate the kitchen and offer their kids a safe environment where they can share emotions and build precious new memories.

The heart of the home: a new kitchen for the Bruno and Caterina Family Home

Now they need your help to raise the €25,000 needed to renovate the kitchen and offer their kids a safe environment where they can share emotions and build precious new memories.

Together in the new kitchen to build new precious memories
Bruno and Caterina are the father and mother of the Casa Famiglia Sacra Famiglia di Nazareth, a shelter of the Pope John XXIII Community, located in Pessione a hamlet of the city of Chieri, in the province of Turin.

In their home, in addition to their two natural sons Andrea and Paolo, four other youngsters have been taken in: 16-year-old Sofia with a severe physical and cognitive disability, 30-year-old Gabriel with autism, and two adult sisters.

Since 2010 their family has lived in the parish house, which they have cared for and improved over the years to make it safe. Now, however, they need your support to renovate the kitchen, in particular there is a need to redo the electrical and plumbing systems to ensure maximum safety for all the children and to purchase new furniture that will allow them to transform this room into a more organized and capacious place for everything they need for cooking.

For Bruno and Caterina, the kitchen is the most important place in the house: this is where people meet, exchange thoughts and emotions, laugh and learn to cook, and welcome guests by offering them coffee or something good. A special place where you can also build the most precious memories. Like when, to welcome a new boy, we all make pizza together, turning a moment that can be difficult, into one to cherish in the heart with a smile.

The cost to renovate the kitchen is 25,000€: let's help them reach this goal so that Sofia, Gabriel and all the welcomed people can have a new space for growth and sharing.

A life choice spanning 20 years
For Bruno and Caterina, opening the doors of their home is a life choice. For more than 20 years they have offered their love and affection to children, youth and adults in need and often with disabilities, knowing that only the warmth of a family can help them rewrite their future.
