Fundraising by Caterina Nania

Hello everyone!!! We are Caterina and Bruno, we have been a foster family for 23 years and we welcome children, teenagers and adults in need of a family. Our open family is called Holy Family of Nazareth and is named after our host church, in fact we have been living in the rectory of our parish now since 2010.

The house is located in Pessione, a suburb of the city of Chieri in the province of Turin. Currently 8 people live in our family: in addition to us and our two natural children aged 26 and 23, there are also a 16-year-old girl with a severe physical and cognitive disability, a 30-year-old adult with autism, and two adult sisters who joined our family 4 years ago.

The kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the house for us, a place where meals are prepared involving everyone, a place of conviviality and exchange, a place where we receive all the people who come to the house offering a coffee or something good. Cooking together while listening to some music and making dishes that are good but also beautiful is something we really enjoy.

However, our kitchen is many years old and needs renovation in order to become even more functional and safe. We need to overhaul the fixtures, replace the floor and buy new cabinets where we can store everything we need for cooking. That is why we are asking for your help to raise the amount needed for this work.
