Toward the good we also walk there--but with a car we get there sooner!
Fundraising by Miriam Pitti
For the past seven months I have been living in Bucharest, immersed in a missionary reality that every day teaches me how important it is to really "be there."
To be there where someone needs a listening ear, a word, a hot dish, a simple but concrete gesture.
We go to the streets to meet the homeless, bring food and clothing, listen to stories of pain and hope. We visit children in institutions, to make them feel that they are not alone. We try, in our own small way, to build real relationships.
But to do all this, in a big city full of streets...we need a car.
A car for us is not a detail, it is a means to reach people. It is our "mobile office," our "traveling home," the bridge that connects us to those who would otherwise stay too far away.
With a new car we can continue to do street drives, to bring hot meals, to reach out to those children who are waiting for a hug, a chat, a smile.
If you can and want to help us out with a donation, we will be grateful, because you will allow us to keep our help coming.
Because the road to goodness is long...but with everyone's help it will be easier to travel! Thank you!
