A new car to leave no one at home

Hello, we are Chiara and Giorgio, we live in Roverchiara in the province of Verona and for 30 years we have chosen to open our family to minors and adults who need a mom and a dad and a welcoming environment where they can feel loved, regain self-confidence and start again. We met the Pope John XXIII Community as young people, in 1981, participating in a beach vacation with differently abled children. In Rimini we had the gift of meeting Don Oreste Benzi who taught us to look with a new look at people who for most are considered unfortunate; our life as a couple also began there. The choice of the family home came in March 1993 as a response to the many requests for shelter that were knocking on our door. The Lord had given us so many gifts and we felt the need to express our gratitude by further opening our family to those who, for so many reasons, were without.Currently, in addition to Paul who is now 49 years old, Giuliana, Michael, Marilena and Alexander are part of our family. During the day each of them according to their abilities has an occupation: some attend a day care center, some a work cooperative, and some do a training internship. In their free time then everyone experiences activities in the area. Those who can move independently, even by public transportation, but the many needs, including medical ones involve several car trips to Legnago, Verona and other places. We are asking for your help precisely because we are in need of a new car. Recently due to accident one of the two cars at our disposal, the most reliable, is no longer usable and we are left with only an old car that has almost 350,000 km and that we can use only for short trips and never all together. As you may have guessed, a new car is essential for us, possibly with 7 seats, so spacious and above all allowing us to go outings without leaving anyone at home .The car that meets our needs costs 22,000 €, but we can't do it alone, we need you who know us and our extended family! Come on, will you lend a hand and share with us this dream that can become reality? All donations will help our home cope with this emergency and other needs. Donate now, every contribution counts! If you would like to help us even more, open your own fundraiser, share it with friends and family, and that way we will reach the goal together! Giorgio and Maria Chiara, father and mother of the Family House "Il Cireneo," have been taking in people in need of a safe haven for more than 30 years. Along with them live 5 other people, each with their own needs and requirements. For them, who live 10km from the town, having a safe and functioning car is essential. One of their two cars has been in a serious accident and they urgently need to buy a new car so they can all move together. The cost is 22,000€ and to be able to cover the expenses they also need your help.
