A house that grows
Fundraising by Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII
"We built our house to which people started knocking and since then the doors open to those who ask for help." Filippo, Athens Family House.
Mother Fabiola and father Filippo have been living in Athens for 7 years and together with their children they have set up a Family House of the Pope John XXIII Community. They are the concrete answer to the humanitarian drama taking place in the Greek city, destination of refugees and displaced persons in search of hope, escaped from misery, hunger and war. In the House today live two couples with their children, a girl in foster care and two young mothers from Kenya and Eritrea with their young children for a total of 17 people. A family that grows with every request for help to which Fabiola and Filippo respond with their "yes". They give them food, care, support, but above all friendship.
Now, however, in a house designed for a small family, it is urgent to find the resources to renovate the kitchen and make it suitable to be lived in by so many people . For this reason, mother Fabiola and father Filippo must find the necessary help immediately. Donate your contribution now. Every gesture is important to make possible that care and welcome that also pass through a renovated kitchen. Thank you.
