A supportive birthday gift

Hello everyone!!!
As many of you know the March 23 will be my FIFTH birthday and to mark the occasion I have chosen to celebrate it in a special way by turning it into a gesture of solidarity.

I have chosen to launch a fundraiser to enable 180 people, many of them with disabilities, to be able to participate in the Sharing Camps that the Pope John XXIII Community has been offering since its founding in 1968. I met the Community precisely on the occasion of one of these Sharing Camps, and since then I have remained attached to these people and this reality.

The camps are a proposal of friendship without barriers between people who want to be a gift for each other. People often think that doing service or volunteering means doing something to someone else; in reality, as we put ourselves alongside each other, we discover that there is always an exchange, a mutual gift, a relationship of belonging. In this relationship it then happens that all limitations, both the more obvious physical-psychic ones and the more hidden ones of everyone are overcome and we learn to carry each other's burdens and also each other's joy.

With your contribution you will enable children with disabilities this important experience so they can get out of their environment and share moments with other people with whom they can relate and create new friendships.
The Sharing Camps take place in hotel facilities with normal accommodation fees that are increasingly difficult to sustain, which is why I have chosen to help the Community make these vacations inclusive for everyone. Come on, are you in?
