Hi, I'm Guido, a user of the "Don Oreste Benzi" Day Care Center in Cesena. I am a boy class of '58 and since birth I have had spastic tetraparesis that prevents me from moving independently and being independent. The "Don Oreste Benzi" day care center has changed my life. At home, despite the Love of my family members, I was sad and very bored not being able to do anything given my birth condition. Alone I can't do anything; I always need someone to ask for my basic necessities such as having a drink of water or simply going to the bathroom.Thanks to the center, I was able to learn about myself and discover skills I didn't think I possessed. I learned how to draw with my feet, how to write on the computer through the use of my voice, and many other things.I felt CAPABLE to succeed at something. For the first time in my life I felt USEFUL and not a burden to others. At the center I felt ALIVE.But to be able to attend the center there is a need more than ever for ADAPTED vehicles to be able to load and secure people like me who are in wheelchairs. Without these modifications I would not be able to move from home and I would not be able to come to the center. I cannot accept this and I feel that I must do something to remedy the problem.Forthis reason, I have activated this fundraiser because now the center needs all the help it can get to cover the cost of a new bus, which is essential to provide the kids with all the activities they need and to be able to make the round trips safely and conveniently. The fundraiser supports the project: A bus to leave no one behind
Total project goal: 30.000 €

At the "Don Oreste Benzi" day care center of the Pope John XXIII Community, people with physical and mental disabilities, including severe ones, find love, care and a safe environment to express themselves. The center now urgently needs to cover the cost of a new minibus so that the operators can continue to make the outward and return trips to accompany the children, safely and conveniently. The fundraising goal is 30,000 euros. Help them too!
