A 'car to reach the peripheries of the world

Hello! We are Mario and Carla, a crackling couple from the Pope John XXII Community! As many of you know we have been Community missionaries for 30 years and now our next destination is Puerto Madryn, in Patagonia Argentina. Here Maurizio together with other Community volunteers organize an after-school program for children from very poor families who are often victims of violence. We will join him to help him in organizing and carrying out new activities for the children: a summer camp, another after-school program and an educational project for drug and violence prevention. We have personally activated this fundraiser to ask you to lend us a hand: in order to get around, Mauritius and the volunteers accompanying him need a new car, capable of safely navigating roads that here in Puerto Madryn are unpaved and in very poor condition, often unusable on rainy days. The area has no public transportation and the car will serve not only the activities, but also us and Angelica and Giovanni's family, who will be coming here on mission just as we are.The amount for a new car is €30,000. Helping us means not only allowing us to move around safely, but especially to be able to accompany the children to activities and visit families in need. You can support us in two ways:Donate to our fundraiser: any contribution, even the smallest, will make a difference. If , on the other hand , you want to do something even bigger, activate a personal fundraiser as well and help us engage many new people we otherwise could not reach by asking your friends, family and colleagues to support you with a donation. So many small drops make a sea. Thank you from the bottom of your heart for accompanying us on this adventure!

Fundraising by Mario Frighetto

The area has no public transportation and the car will serve not only the activities, but also us and Angelica and Giovanni's family, who will be coming here on mission just as we are.

The amount for a new car is €30,000. Helping us means not only allowing us to move around safely, but especially to be able to accompany the children to activities and visit families in need.

You can support us in two ways:

  • Donate to our fundraiser: any contribution, even the smallest, will make a difference.
  • If , on the other hand , you want to do something even bigger, activate a personal fundraiser as well and help us engage many new people we otherwise could not reach by asking your friends, family and colleagues to support you with a donation.
So many small drops make a sea. Thank you from the bottom of your heart for accompanying us on this adventure!

Total project goal: 30.000 €

In Puerto Madryn, in the deep south of Argentine Patagonia, Maurizio along with other volunteers from the Pope John XXIII Community organize activities aimed at children and young people from poor families who are often victims of violence. Your help is crucial in raising the €30,000 needed to purchase a new adequate and safe car, essential not only for the volunteers' travels, but also for accompanying the children to activities and visiting families in need.
