Hello, we are Gian Paolo and Paola, father and mother of the Family Home "St. Mary of the Annunciation." Since we started this wonderful adventure over 25 years ago, several people have found affection and care in our family. Right now there are 9 of us in the house. We confess that it is not in our heart to ask for money, however, it gives us much peace to know that we are not doing it for us, but we are thus "giving voice to the voiceless." We live in Pontremoli in a large house in the center of town, convenient to the services and needs of the people who live there, but it has a problem: it is arranged on three floors with no elevator. The management of daily life has now become very difficult especially for Cristina (15 years old) and Michael (8 years old) because due to their disability they have great difficulty walking and moving. Therefore, some works are needed such as the renovation of one of the bathrooms in the house so that it is suitable for people with reduced mobility and the construction of a lifting platform. The lifting platform is really essential because only by installing it can Michael, who has severe cerebral palsy, continue to live with us. The expense for this work is really very high. A large sum is already available to carry out this work, but we still need to raise €40,000. The Gian Paolo and Paola Family House of the Pope John XXIII Community is in urgent need of some work, which is essential for the people with disabilities who live there: such as Michael, who because of his severe disability cannot walk and will only be able to continue living with his family if a lifting platform is installed in the house. The expense is high, let's help them together reach the goal to allow them to be family for those who don't have one!

A big thank you to all the people who followed and supported us during this fundraising campaign. Thanks to your generosity we were able to build and finish the disabled bathroom, specially designed for Michael's needs, and to replace the old stoves with 2 new ones that comply with standards, also adapting the respective flues.
In order to finish the project that we had set out to do, the construction of the lifting platform is missing: this, however, has already been ordered and the preparatory work of designing and opening the construction site to mount it has begun. We expect to finish it by the end of the year.
Weare still lacking a small part of the economic resources needed to pay for the work, and we still trust in Providence and your generosity, which has been crucial for our family.

Dear all,
the fundraiser we launched a few months ago raised an important amount of money in a short period of time that allowed us to build the disabled bathroom and other necessary adaptations in our family home.
While we thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support, we are relaunching our project to reach the milestone needed to build the lifting platform that will allow Michael (and not only him) to enter and leave the house easily.
If you can in any measure still contribute we thank you so much, but we especially ask you to pass on the link of our project to friends, relatives, colleagues or parishes, accompanying it with a few words of your own to ensure our knowledge and the successful completion of these offerings.

We want to sincerely thank all the people who have supported us so far, you have been so many and our whole family has been really touched by so much generosity and trust.
Here in the house there is no shortage of work to be done and we have been active right away to start the work and, unfortunately, unforeseen events are the order of the day: we have been informed that the heating system of the house will also have to be revised to bring it up to standard. The expenses therefore increase and that is why we have raised the target. But we are not getting scared, because we are getting so much help from those who love us and we are sure that together, by continuing to spread and share this project, we can really reach the goal.
