Turkana drinking water well

In Turkana, one of the driest and poorest lands in the world located north of Kenya, they face one of the worst droughts in 40 years because there has been no rain for almost 3 years. The only way for the Turkana people not to die of thirst is to dig shallow holes in lake beds to search for water, but this is dirty and undrinkable, causing serious health problems, especially among children .The solution proposed by the Pope John XXIII Community is the construction of two wells (in the villages of Moite and Altugo) that can provide potable water. The total cost of the work is €126,990. To achieve this goal we need everyone's support .In March I will be leaving for Kenya as a volunteer, so I have already launched this fundraiser with my family with the hope of helping right away the families in those areas that I will soon meet and share life with for a year. Thanks to the wells about 3,000 people will finally have access to clean water, and another 500 residents in nearby villages will have access to the facilities. Invaluable and necessary help for women, the elderly, and children forced to travel several kilometers to be able to get dirty water. Here the poor are paying the consequences of climate change for which they are not responsible. Here the cry of the poor and the cry of the earth is louder than ever. A cry that cannot leave us indifferent. Water is mankind's most precious commodity, water means life but for the people living in those arid soils, water is a mirage. With your donation it can become real .Your help now is indispensable.Thank you for what you donate...may you get back three times what you generously give ❤️
