I returned to Colombia a few days after the first anniversary of the massacre that took place last March 19. It was a long and difficult journey, not so much for the heat and mud we found, but for not seeing NALLELI and EDISON welcome us back to their home, we who as Operation Dove volunteers shared a long and precious time of nonviolent struggle and resistance together.

The security situation for all the people in the Peace Community remains extremely difficult.

For almost a month now, I have been accompanying a member of the Peace Community to Italy with the goal of publicizing their experience of nonviolent resistance and strengthening the bonds of solidarity created over the years. The Community is asking all met to also commit to supporting the international protective accompaniment that Operation Dove offers to the Peace Community.
