Not having a goal but being a goal

Shortly after I arrived in Palestine, a boy from the village of At-Tuwani asked me what was the biggest difference between my world and his, which I was just beginning to learn about. The question rumbled in my head for days. Sure, the differences are many: manners, customs, relationships with people. They are visible to everyone's eyes, but there is more, right from the start you can feel a different feeling here. After much reflection, I came to the conclusion that the different element is that everyone is part of a larger, higher goal, no one HAS a personal goal: everyone IS the same goal .In my world, to achieve something you have to steal it from someone else; here you have to join with others to achieve it. Every small gesture becomes big, takes on dignity, when supported by that of everyone else.A little help to the Palestinian people makes a difference. Thank you.

The fundraiser supports the project: Operation Dove in Palestine - 2023
Total project goal: 40.000 €

Volunteers from Operation Dove, a nonviolent peace corps of the Pope John XXIII Community, have been present in the Palestinian village of At-Tuwani since 2004. Their presence is necessary because they protect children on their way to school and safeguard the safety of Palestinian residents in the area, as well as denounce the Human Rights violations that too often occur there. Support our volunteers to ensure the children and families there are safe and secure.
