Distance is bridged with humanity-and a car!
Fundraising by Rachele Sartori
Hello everyone and everyone!
Our names are Rachele and Michele and we would like to tell you a story that has changed the way we see people.
Over the past six months we have had an intense and unforgettable experience: a mission project in Bucharest, Romania, in close contact with some of the most vulnerable people in the city.
We have tried every day to reach out and support homeless people, who often pass unseen in our eyes, but who need-and have a right to-food, care, a listening ear, a human presence.
But that's not all.
We joined the Sisters of Mother Teresa, helping them in animation with children in situations of severe social hardship, and every week we went to a facility that houses children with severe disabilities, to bring some warmth and normalcy to their days.
It was a journey full of humanity, made up of looks, outstretched hands, tears and smiles.
And now, for those who are still in Bucharest donating their lives, we need one more step: to buy a car to reach more people, more safely, quickly and effectively.
Why donate?
Because no one should be forgotten.
Because even a little help can make a big difference when it reaches where it is really needed.
And because, honestly, we have received far more than we have given: we have learned dignity in pain, strength in simple gestures, and how much it matters to be there. Even if only to listen.
If you can, help us with a donation - even a small one - to get this car started.
And if you can't, share this project: every voice that joins is one more step toward those who cannot walk alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
