Is the treasure here in your pocket? No, let's keep digging!
Fundraising by Caterina Ferrua
My waiting for Christmas this year I will spend it all in a place that has long been special to me. A place where I keep digging deep, deep, deeper and deeper as if I were looking for treasure... only I've already found the treasure, right in that place there, but it's a treasure that won't be extinguished in a few jewels and gold coins, and my pocket is too small to hold it.
And so here I am digging again, and again this year I ask you to "convert" your gift to me into a gift that is touched by hand but is made of flesh and blood and bone, for I ask you to give me a piece of the presence of the volunteers and volunteers of Operation Dove alongside the inhabitants of the Akkar and Bekaa Valley refugee camps in Lebanon, the most abandoned neighborhoods of Tripoli, and among the persecuted people taking refuge in the great city of Beirut.
This gift is made of ears that know how to listen, arms that shake hands and embrace, legs bent in sitting in tents and walking among greenhouses and in the streets of villages and towns, to go and meet the Other.
Thank you!
A hug and Merry Christmas
