And there was no place for them...

The Bethlehem hut was born from the pastoral genius of Don Oreste Benzi, in response to those who are alone and have no roof. No, they are not invisible rejects of indifferent individualism, they are people who live in our cities. In Bologna, in the Bethlehem Hut, we welcome about 200 people every year, and our mission does not stop at simply welcoming them, but at guaranteeing the services that are indispensable for the dignity of every person. The hut is our common home. The style is that of a true family in which everything is shared.By participating in this fundraiser, with your contribution we will renew some furnishings. With your small gesture you will help us to make our wish come true soon.

The fundraiser supports the project: A home ready to welcome, with your help...
Total project goal: 11.000 €

A home where you can find shelter, a family that embraces you and helps you, to which you can cling in order to walk again on your own. For more than 10 years, at the Capanna di Betlemme in Bologna, run by the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, the city's homeless have discovered a place where they can be reborn. Now maintenance work and new furnishings are needed for this house where so many people rediscover their dignity. Let's help them together.
