Help me, I'm in!

Help me... I'm in!Hi, I'm a volunteer at Capanna di Betlemme in Bologna, a house that takes in the homeless, once called "tramps".We often think of them as people who choose to stay on the street; we all know the romantic image of the man with the guitar who wanders the world with his backpack. Unfortunately, however, the road is not chosen, it welcomes you because something in your life has gone wrong. It's easy, losing your job, to find yourself without a home, without a family: often one becomes the consequence of the other and you end up losing your dignity. The Bethlehem Hut, during the winter, welcomes up to 30/32 people who are on the streets, trying to give them back their dignity. Like any house, it needs maintenance to function. Some friends are helping us to fix the kitchen which, especially in this particular period, must be functional and easily sanitized. To fix it we will need about €2500 and to do this we need everyone's help, including yours!Help me to help them. Come on, you're in!

Help me... I'm in!

Hi, I'm a volunteer at Capanna di Betlemme in Bologna, a house that takes in the homeless, once called "tramps".

We often think of them as people who choose to stay on the street; we all know the romantic image of the man with the guitar who wanders the world with his backpack.

To fix it we will need about €2500 and to do this we need everyone's help, including yours!

Total project goal: 11.000 €

A home where you can find shelter, a family that embraces you and helps you, to which you can cling in order to walk again on your own. For more than 10 years, at the Capanna di Betlemme in Bologna, run by the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, the city's homeless have discovered a place where they can be reborn. Now maintenance work and new furnishings are needed for this house where so many people rediscover their dignity. Let's help them together.
