Help us take care of our Village of Joy

Hi, I'm Paola, a mother of the family home at the Village of Joy, a special and unique place in Italy, one of the last projects that Don Oreste Benzi wanted to realize firsthand in Forlì, in the heart of Romagna.Here children and young people at risk of being removed from their families are welcomed, together with their parents. These fragile families are accompanied along a path of recovery through discussions with specialized operators and with the fathers and mothers of the family homes present in the village, an example of love and sharing.The Village now needs our support for various necessities:repair the car provided, which is old but in good condition, useful for travel to the city (the Village is in a very suburban area and public transportation is not always sufficient), to organize outings in the area and to let the children and their welcomed parents spend moments of lightheartedness and joy.Often the families taken in are not self-driving so having more means at their disposal is essential for our daily life;a new kitchen in one of our family homes;the replacement of doors and windows, which are essential to keep the homes warm and safe;the organization of training courses for operators to learn how to handle the most critical family situations. 15,000€ is needed to cover all these expenses. I have chosen to do my part by activating this fundraiser because since 2023 I have been sharing with my family home within this sharing reality and it is only right that each of us take care of this special place.
