35.80 - Run for Peace
I often find myself waking up at night and not being able to get back to sleep.I often find myself starting to fantasize, think and dream a lot in those dark moments with my eyes open.I often find myself questioning my being, who I am, what I am doing, where I want to go and what I want to become.I often catch myself recognizing the fortunes I have in my life and I often catch myself thinking about the people who are and have been a part of it.I often find that the day-to-day distracts me from important thoughts and things....During the day, however, I often find myself running. And that is precisely why this page, this idea and this project was born.I'm putting down on paper a commitment, "a small sporting venture" that has really been rattling around in my head for a long time but was always just a thought. Those who run seriously call them ULTRA's ...... I of ULTRA just wish there was an 'ultra closeness to the people I met through Operation Dove, the nonviolent Peace Corps of the Pope John XXIII Community present in so many conflict zones to support the most fragile populations. I have been one of their volunteers since 2009 and have been to Albania, Kosovo, Palestine and Colombia, always to give a voice to the voiceless. On my 35th birthday I lace up my shoes and run with you, from Imperia to Albissola. "Run" with me and support this project. Come on, are you in?

A fundraiser for the special occasion "Una sfida sportiva per il mio compleanno" (26/06/2023)

I often find myself waking up at night and not being able to get back to sleep.
I often find myself starting to fantasize, think and dream a lot in those dark moments with my eyes open.
I often find myself questioning my being, who I am, what I am doing, where I want to go and what I want to become.
I often catch myself recognizing the fortunes I have in my life and I often catch myself thinking about the people who are and have been a part of it.
I often find that the day-to-day distracts me from important thoughts and things.
...During the day, however, I often find myself running.
And that is precisely why this page, this idea and this project was born.
I'm putting down on paper a commitment, "a small sporting venture" that has really been rattling around in my head for a long time but was always just a thought.
Those who run seriously call them ULTRA's ...

3,355 €
The fundraiser supports the project: Operation Dove
Total project goal:
15.000 €
Operazione Colomba's volunteers work side by side with victims in conflict zones, living with them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, sharing risks and hardships but also hopes and possible solutions. Thanks to their international presence and nonviolent actions, they protect the lives of defenseless civilians and concretely build Peace where there is hatred and violence. Peace in the world is a common good: to build it, we need everyone's help.

We had asked you for ULTRA closeness for this undertaking and much more came.
Support, support, willingness to get involved, help, contribute, go the distance together, wait...
It was a great and wonderful undertaking, which succeeded only because of everyone's closeness.
You accompanied us all the way, as Operation Dove has always tried to do.
We would not have succeeded in anything without the little piece of each of you.
...Now, I often find myself saying ULTRA thank you!
Clara
Thanks!

Wow...we have no words for this wonderful support we are receiving!
You are making us feel a closeness that is truly more than "ultra."
So much so that we feel to try to go further, to try to dare more....a great race for a great goal!
Thanks to you the road seems less long!
Thank you!
