A new home for the children of Zambia
The family house "Fatima Home for Children" has to start the construction of a new house but the works are blocked due to lack of funds. With your help we can finish the necessary works!
I am Susan, mom of the Fatima Home for Children Family House of the Pope John XXIII Community. Together with Bupe, Mama, Florence, Monica, Max, Mapalo and Justina I live in Mansa, Zambia. 2017 was an important year: we managed to start the construction of our new home; it will be wonderful to fill it with hugs and laughter! I say will be because unfortunately the work has been stopped for a long time due to lack of funds. The Community, which already supports all our daily needs, has already put in all available resources, and we have done the same but it is a very important expense. It lacks:
- the exterior walls, which make the house and the children inside it safe (cost €8,300);
- the kitchen, beds, cupboards and all the furniture necessary for daily life (cost €2,300);
- the water well, essential because there is often a lack of running water (cost €3,500).
We would like to move in as soon as possible so we can also take in other children and youth still living in vulnerable situations to give them, in addition to a home, a family. It is now that we ask for your help, because only with everyone's contribution can we raise the amount needed to finish the work as soon as possible.
