On the roads of life

Vicky and Arturo, from the Santa Clara Family Home of the Pope John XXIII Community, live with their eight children in Guadalajara, Spain. Here they take in mothers in difficulty, the elderly and people with disabilities. Their commitments are many and a car is essential to carry out all their daily activities. Let's help them find the resources to buy a safe and spacious car, suitable for this large and itinerant family!

Since 1999, mother Vicky and father Arturo, of the Santa Clara Family Home of the Pope John XXIII Community, have opened the doors of their home to many people in difficulty: children, young people with drug addiction problems, girls snatched from the streets, people with disabilities. Together with them they have traveled a piece of road in the many places in the world where they have brought their testimony of life and sharing: Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Calabria and now Spain, in Guadalajara.
Here they live together with their 8 children, both natural and welcomed, and together with the local institutions, they welcome mothers who have emigrated and are alone with their children, people with disabilities and elderly people who suffer from loneliness, without anyone to talk to and spend their days with.
Arturo is responsible for the pastoral care of Roma families in the area, Vicky is a full-time mother, not only for her children but also for all the people who pass by their house. They cultivate the vegetable garden, create handmade soaps that are donated to families in difficulty in the area, they live as a family between various activities and simplicity.
Like any family, the commitments are many and a car is essential to be able to carry out all the daily activities of their children but also of those who attend their home every day and find love and serenity there.
The Community has already found a car suitable for them but needs someone to help it find the resources for the cost incurred, € 4,700. This expense was not foreseen and the needs of the Family Homes are growing every day, but for Arturo and Vicky a new vehicle was indispensable. For this reason your support is fundamental. Your help will guarantee them a safe and capacious car, suitable for this big and itinerant family!

Createyour own fundraiser and give it life, sharing it with your friends, relatives, colleagues or acquaintances. Or support those who have already opened one by leaving your donation and a message that can convince others to do the same.
Put it in gear and let's go! Let's walk together with Vicky and Arturo a piece of road towards this wonderful life!
