Let's set new possibilities in motion
At the Reuse Centers run by the Il Ramo Social Cooperative in Fossano and Saluzzo, we breathe new life into objects and give hope to people with disabilities or vulnerabilities by offering them work and independence. When our van broke down, we had to immediately purchase a new eco-friendly one so as not to interrupt our activities. Help us raise the €20,000 needed to cover this urgent expense. Thank you!
Sometimes a second chance begins with an object that someone no longer uses. A piece of clothing, a chair, a toy: in the right hands, they are given new life. But for us, reuse isn’t just about things: it’s about people’s hearts, their talent that needs a place to shine, and their right to feel like they belong to a community.
This is what we do every day at the Reuse Centers in Fossano and Saluzzo and at the Bottega 23 stores in Fossano and Bra , run by the Il Ramo Social Cooperative, a direct offshoot of the Pope John XXIII Community. Here, people learn not to waste, including through repair workshops and activities with schools. Above all, people with disabilities or in vulnerable situations find opportunities for training, work, and independence here .
To bring the concepts of reuse, sustainability, and social inclusion to life , the C.A.R.E. project was launched : Centers for the Environment, Reuse, and Empowerment. It’s our way of saying “I care.” As Don Milani taught us: we care deeply about the earth, people, and the future.
Every day at our various locations, we collect useful items that are sorted, repaired when possible, and put back into circulation at affordable prices. Obviously, to transport these items from one place to another and create new opportunities, we need a van—which is why we’ve decided to launch this fundraiser.
Our old van broke down suddenly, andit couldn’t be repaired. However, our work couldn’t stop, so we immediately purchased a new, environmentally friendly vehicle. The Cassa di Risparmio di Fossano Foundation supported us with a generous donation of 15,000 euros; and the Il Ramo Cooperative covered the remainder of the cost. Today, we’re asking all of you to help us raise the remaining amount (€20,000) so we can continue investing in people, work, and inclusion.
