We are Maurizio and Giovanna, father and mother of the San Paolo Family House, of the Pope John XXIII Community, and we have lived in Fossano (CN) for as long as we can remember. There are 14 of us in the family: in addition to our children Paolo, Sara and Luca, living with us are Silvana, Federica with her son Matteo, Mario, Kevin, Christian, Andrea, Grafian, our special angel who has a very severe disability, and Zaira.
For some time we had given the availability to the Diocese to be able to give birth to a project of "solidarity condominium" able to host both our Family House and other disabled people alone or with their families with the desire to live independently, but in the warmth of a small "village," together with young people eager to experience a project of solidarity cohabitation living the experience of direct sharing.
Now this dream is becoming a reality, thanks to the commitment of our Bishop Piero Delbosco and the great willingness of the Opera Diocesana, which has taken charge of the renovation of the Divine Providence structure.
We from April, in addition to moving in as a Family Home, will take charge of supporting the families who will come to live in the building in collaboration with our
Social Cooperative "Il Ramo." A total of about 40 people will find a place in this small but lively village!
As for our Family House, we need to buy a new kitchen (11,000€) and the furniture and equipment for the disabled bathrooms and that is why we have launched a fundraiser. The move is scheduled to take place at the end of April and with your help we are sure we can reach the goal!
We thank you from now for the financial support you would like to give us; it is not the size of the gift that counts, but the size of the heart that offers it.
Our future home will be a small village of solidarity where love and sharing will be the glue of our days. Your help will be a demonstration that you, like us, believe in this beautiful project of life and rebirth.
