We are Maurizio and Giovanna, father and mother of the Casa Famiglia San Paolo, of the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII, and we have always lived in Fossano (CN). There are 14 of us in the family: besides our children Paolo, Sara and Luca, we have Silvana, Federica and her son Matteo, Mario, Kevin, Christian, Andrea, Grafian, our special angel who has a very serious disability, and Zaira.
For some time we had given the availability to the Diocese of being able to create a project of "condominio solidale" able to accommodate both our Family House and other disabled people alone or with their families with the desire to live independently, but in the warmth of a small "village", along with young people willing to experience a project of cohabitation solidarity living the experience of direct sharing.
Now this dream is becoming reality, thanks to the commitment of our Bishop Piero Delbosco and to the great willingness of the Opera Diocesana, which has taken charge of the renovation works of the Divine Providence structure.
From April, in addition to moving as a Family House, we will take charge of supporting the families that will come to live in the building in collaboration with our
Social Cooperative "Il Ramo". In this small but lively village there will be a total of about 40 people!
As far as our Family House is concerned, we need to buy a new kitchen (11.000€) and the furniture and equipment for the bathrooms for disabled people and this is why we have launched a fundraising campaign. The move is expected to take place at the end of April and with your help we are sure we can reach the goal!
We thank you from now for the financial support you will give us, it is not the size of the gift that counts, but the size of the heart that offers it.
Our future home will be a small village where love and sharing will be the glue of our days. Your help will be the demonstration that you too, like us, believe in this beautiful project of life and rebirth.
