Let's help the "Martha and Mary" Family Home face daily challenges
The Family House "Martha and Mary," of the Pope John XXIII Community, has been taking in children, youth and elderly people in fragile conditions for more than 30 years. Now they need your help to raise the €15,000 needed to purchase a car, which is indispensable for accompanying the welcomed persons in all normal daily activities.
Giancarlo and Marina are the father and mother of the "Marta e Maria" family home, located in Santa Croce Bigolina, a small hamlet in the municipality of Cittadella, in the province of Padua.
Born out of Giancarlo and Marina's desire to share life with the least of these, the home, for over thirty years, has opened its doors to people of all ages and conditions: newborns, mothers with children, teens, young people and the elderly; here everyone can find a familiar and safe environment, in which to all intents and purposes feel like a son, brother or grandfather.
The people welcomed, with their own unique backgrounds and experiences, have created a family, where differences have become a real wealth and where everyone can grow and fulfill themselves.
Currently, the family consists of mom Marina, dad Giancarlo, along with their 7 teenage children and an 85-year-old grandmother.
Unfortunately, the old car, now tired after so many miles driven together, can no longer cope with the needs of the family. Now they need our help so that they can buy a more reliable and spacious vehicle that will allow them to accompany everyone in their many daily activities: school, work, outings and medical appointments.
Marina and Giancarlo are thinking of a small station wagon, even used but in good condition, to avoid excessive maintenance expenses. To realize this project, they need to raise 15,000 euros.
Together we can help them reach the goal and give them the vehicle they urgently need to face their daily challenges.
