Help us welcome Alain and Yvionel back

We are Valentina and Segulnord. Our young family members, Alain and Yvionel, fled the violence in Haiti in search of safety. Our family home in Busca is ready to welcome them and give them a future full of hope, but the costs of reuniting them with us are enormous. Help us reach €4,000 to cover these urgent expenses. With your donation, you can join us in safeguarding their lives!

Dear friends,
we are Valentina and Segulnord. Many of you know us well and understand how much of our lives and hearts remain in Haiti, where we served as missionaries with the Pope John XXIII Community for many years. Haiti isn’t just a distant land—it’s a part of our family, a place where we learned that God’s love never leaves anyone behind.

Today we are writing to ask for your urgent help.

Our young family members, Alain and Yvionel, were forced to flee Port-au-Prince suddenly. The situation there has become unbearable: violence, armed gangs, and constant threats to the lives of good young people who refuse to take the path of evil. After a long and dangerous journey, they managed to reach safety across the border, but they still find themselves in a situation of extreme precariousness and risk. Their only hope is to join us here in Italy, where our family home in Busca (CN) is ready to welcome them with open arms, offering them shelter, warmth, and a future full of hope.

To enable their family reunification and finally bring Alain and Yvionel to safety , we have had to—and will continue to have to—cover truly enormous expenses: from transportation costs to visa documents, from initial logistical assistance to the costs of their reception. We cannot bear this financial burden alone, but we cannot leave them on their own.

For this reason, with humility and trust, we ask for your support. Even a small donation, combined with those of many others, can make a difference. We ask you to walk alongside us and to become guardians of these two young men together with us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, every thought, and every act of love you can offer us!
