"I want to take my life": our kids' desires take us "beyond"
Fundraising by Elisabetta Cimatti
"I try to live on my own" is an extraordinary project born in Faenza in 2021. Thanks to the collaboration between GRD Faenza and the Pope John XXIII Community, of which I am a member, young people with disabilities have the opportunity to learn to live independently.
Now one of the houses made available to the boys, is in need of various maintenance works: the French doors, which do not close properly, let in annoying drafts of cold air.; the absence of an air conditioner makes the common rooms almost unlivable in the hottest periods; the bathtubs, impractical for the boys, should be replaced with a shower; the kitchen then over the years has deteriorated and the washing machine is no longer working: therefore, a renovation of the entire room is urgently needed. The total cost of all these works is 15,000 euros. Our help is indispensable to enable the project to continue.
Supporting this project means encouraging these children to realize their dreams and wishes. They put determination and responsibility ... together we live a mutually enriching journey.
Let's help them create a safe, comfortable and suitable environment for their needs.
