Another way: a battle against prostitution, poverty and despair

In the suburbs of Nairobi, Kenya, prostitution is not a free choice but a dead end where women of all ages end up. In a social reality that is extremely poor and lacks real opportunities, the most vulnerable groups are the ones who end up victims of prostitution. The women I met during the time I lived in Nairobi and who are housed in the reality of the community, the Amini Home, have stories of violence, loneliness and abandonment behind them . Living here, I have realized that the greatest help that can be given is often human help, being together, sharing one's thoughts, good and bad moments. It is from here that you then lay the foundation for everything else. These women, almost all single mothers, find in Amini Home a family, some psychological and medical support, a path of empowerment that allows them to develop the skills they need to find their way and raise their children with serenity. A true path of liberation and emancipation. Of course, the costs to maintain the facilities, the costs of medical expenses and educational activities for them and the children are many but they are a real and concrete investment for their inclusion in society, to give them dignity and rekindle, after a life of suffering and exploitation, the hope of a different future. A future that does not exist when feeding your children means going through the daily commodification of your body for pennies. This is why they need your help: I have lived with these women (and hope to live with them again soon) and I have given and received a lot, you can now help them by supporting them with a donation. Whether small or large it will make a difference in the lives of these mothers, these women. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! The fundraiser supports the project: Amini Home: a project to support women victims of prostitution
Total project goal: 20.000 €

The "Amini Home" project was established in March 2023 in the Nairobi district of Kenya, where hundreds of women every day prostitute themselves on the streets or in clubs in order to survive and provide necessities for their children. In order to rescue them and enhance the services offered, €20,000 is needed. Your help is essential to achieve this important goal. Thank you!
