A new car for my Chilean family.

My six-month experience as a volunteer with the Pope John XXIII Community in Valdivia, Chile is now over, but the overflowing Love I carry in my heart still lingers. From this time lived with Tito and Jaqueline's family I take home the smiles, the welcome, the hugs, the free generosity, the precious value of each person, the memories of shared life, the gratitude. All of this drives me to want to make a contribution to help in my own small way what has become my Chilean family, which has welcomed me totally and freely for the duration of my experience. What this family would need in the immediate term is a new car. It seems almost trivial to refer to such a purchase, but for Tito and Jaqueline it is not at all. Their family is made up of their sons and daughters, including Pamela, Elisa, Pancho, Denis, Ignacio, Jade and Juanita, and Elias, as well as the various grandchildren and the volunteers/and white helmets who share life in the home during their experience. Each person taken in receives dignity, support and love, finding the strength to face together every difficulty and limitation - in many cases related to psychiatric disorders - and thus helping to build the future of all the people who are part of it. The dynamic life of each family member, however, also entails the need for numerous trips by means of transportation, starting from the most obvious needs, such as grocery shopping, running errands or accompanying children, to the most necessary ones, such as going to health centers for various visits or to the hospital in case of an emergency. It is also important to consider the relevant fact that Valdivia is characterized by heavy and incessant rainfall, especially in the winter seasons: an average of about 2489 mm of rain falls every year! This therefore makes travel by car indispensable. Personally, even beyond these basic needs, I retain wonderful memories of the trips we made together in the car that, by now, no longer works: when Tito took me to see the Ocean the first time, when we went to pick up the children from school, the distribution of the Food Network crates, all the songs on the radio we listened to in order to learn Spanish, the breathtaking landscapes, the chats and moments shared as a family on the way. With gratitude in my heart and the desire to share it, if I can help in my small way through this personal fundraiser, I would like to do so to allow my Chilean family to create new memories like the ones we experienced together in a new car.I wholeheartedly thankall the people who would like to contribute a donation and thanks also to those who would like to spread this initiative.Every contribution, no matter how small, is precious to us!You can also donate by bank transfer or postal bulletin.IBAN: IT04 X030 6909 6061 0000 0008 036POSTAL ACCOUNT: 12148417Both payable to: Pope John XXIII CommunityReason to specify: 25R023 auto Casa Famiglia Maria Madre Acogedora

The fundraiser supports the project: A new car for Tito and Jaqueline's love mission
Total project goal: 32.000 €

Tito and Jaqueline are the father and mother of the Family House "Maria Madre Acogedora," a welcoming reality of the Pope John XXIII Community. Over the years they have given shelter to children and people in fragile conditions. Now they need your help to buy a new car that will serve not only for their family to be able to move independently, but also for Tito to distribute the Food Network food boxes to different families and those in need. Support their project and help them reach the €32,000 needed.
