Giuseppe, 16 years old, imprisoned in the juvenile prison of Bari told me in front of twenty other detained adolescents: "Make us understand what hope is, what a new world is. Today bring to your house those of us who can get out of here! Giuseppe was right, and that's what we have done with the Cooperative Ro' la Formichina and we continue to do it, dreaming bigger: a carpentry shop with more space, more machinery will be able to give a new life to many other wonderful boys like Giuseppe who ask us to be able to rewrite new pages in their lives!Help us to make this dream come true! In the Ro' la Formichina Social Cooperative of the Pope John XXIII Community, for more than twenty years young people coming from prison and young people with disabilities have been learning a trade, an indispensable tool to start a new life. We have planned a larger carpentry workshop to give work and opportunities to even more people. Help us build it and together let's give a different future to our young people.
The shed takes shape!

Last year, among many doubts and worries, we asked you for a hand to give an answer to the people in difficulty who make a path in the cooperative Ro' la Formichina.
The dream was to realize, in a difficult moment for the whole society, a new shed for the carpentry. We never thought of such a large and substantial response from you! The dream when it is only one to do it remains a dream, when it is a people who dream, the dream becomes reality, said Helder Camara. So thanks to you and to Providence, after one year the new shed has taken shape and we are now realizing the various facilities!

Etna with its continuous sand, the sudden increase in the cost of materials and the great heat are putting our new carpentry site in difficulty. It is the difficulty that is found in every journey towards an important goal.
Marcello, our great friend and supporter, every now and then leaves to find himself and listen to the voice of the Father and retraces the path of Santiago. He tells us that when the pilgrims in walking together meet each other they say "ULTREYA" (forward)
and answer each other "SUSEYA" (upwards).
So it is in everyday life and in the great choices: we can go forward if together we call us to look up.

Thank you all for the support you are giving to the Cooperative and to all the guys, each donation is a small step towards the realization of this project! I am pleasantly surprised by your generosity and that is why I decided to raise the goal of my collection, because I am sure that with everyone's help we will soon reach the total goal.
