A Little Support for Peace in Palestine

Since 2002 Operation Dove - Nonviolent Peace Corps of the Pope John XXIII Community - has been active in Palestine, initially in the Gaza Strip and, since 2004, in the village of At-Tuwani in the southern West Bank (Masafer Yatta). From there it operates in several rural areas where, together with Palestinian and Israeli activists, it supports nonviolent popular resistance.The women volunteers escort Palestinians during daily activities, protecting them from violence by Israeli settlers and the Israeli army, documenting and denouncing Human Rights violations.We decided to support this project to be part of this nonviolent resistance and we thank you for helping us in this goal by celebrating Hector's Baptism.Any donation is valuable and will help maintain Operation Dove's presence in Palestine. Since 2002, volunteers from Operation Dove have been present in Palestine, first in the Gaza Strip, in Al Qarara (Khan Younis), then since 2004 in the West Bank, in the village of At-Tuwani (hills south of Hebron). Today more than ever, therefore, the presence of Operation Dove volunteers is essential: to protect the safety of the Palestinian inhabitants of the area, who just want to live on their own land.
